When and why did you start telemark? Inspired by the "new school" prowess of a certain Stéphane Dufour, on the web. Self-taught, I made my first Telemark turns in 2010. We will create the Fent'astik Pyrenees Team with Caroline and Romain Delattre in 2013.
What do you like about telemark? The ease of movement, the aesthetics of the turn, the first trace... I like the style and the feeling of freedom that Telemark provides.
What do you like about Meidjo bindings? I have known the Meidjo evolution since its creation. It is a successful binding, easy to use, robust and above all lightweight. Meidjo, accompanies me in these sometimes hostile mountains which demands the equipment and puts it to a severe test.
What is your favorite spot for telemark? Over the last 5 years, I have had the opportunity to travel through this sport, I like to vary my environment. Among the spots that have impressed me the most, whether on volcanoes or in the fjords of the North Pacific, I will always keep in mind the wild runs of Kamchatka.
Where is your next destination or where would you like to go telemark? We are fortunate in France to have beautiful mountains with great potential. Despite this, curiosity and the desire to explore remain. I think of some countries in Eastern Europe, Canada or South America, trips that I would like to share with my community.
Did you compete? What prizes did you win? Free... pleasure first and foremost. I preferred the visual to the competition, less stressful, but just as much adrenaline! This year, I am happy to present Telemark in the "Potchemu" project with ski buddies in Russia. Here's the teaser: (down below this page or on the side)
What do you do for a living? Aviation maintenance technician.
What other sports or non-sports activities do you do? Mountain biking, Trekking, I enjoy listening to a good 33Tour in quieter moments, but above all travel a lot!
