  • How old were you when you first started skiing? I first skied at 2 years old

  • When and Why did you start Telemarking? I first telemarked a few days after I turned 6 years old. My dad gifted me a pair of boots on my birthday, and legendary ski photographer Marko Shapiro gave me skis and bindings. I started because of my dad.

  • What do you like about Telemark? I love the art aspect of it. The infinite learning curve, the beauty of the Turn, and the fluidity of the skiing.

  • What is your favorite spot for Telemarking? Anywhere a man can find some snow!

  • Where is your next destination, or where would you like to travel to Telemark? I hope to travel soon to Japan to get some deep powder, and I would love to do a North American ski trip someday.

  • Did you compete? I used to compete in alpine downhill at the winter camps I frequented as a child. Nowadays, I find the mountain itself is the challenge.

  • What do you do for work? I work as an Accountant for Téléverbier near my home in Switzerland. It’s a great company to work for. Verbier is the largest ski area entirely in Switzerland.
