In 2017 he made the move to Aspen, Colorado with his girlfriend to coach a Big Mountain Telemark program for the Aspen Valley Ski Club. When he is not coaching you can find him skiing chair laps at Aspen or hunting for fresh snow and Big lines in the backcountry with his girlfriend and his dog.

  • When and why did you start telemarking : My dad, uncle, and grandfather were all telemark skiers and I thought it looked like fun. Also just wanted another way to play on skis.
  • What do you like about telemark skiing : Telemark is never boring, every snow condition and feature requires an adaptation of the turn which keeps me on my toes.
  • What do you like about Meidjo: The Meidjo has a quick, responsive flex straight off the ski. I love the light weight feel, and they really enjoy ripping big mountain lines at high speed. The meidjo is the perfect companion for skiing big mountains in the backcountry or crushing chair laps inbounds.

  • Where is your next destination for telemarking : I have always dreamed about telemarking in Europe, but I have a very long list of places that I would like to go.

  • What is your job : In the winter I am a full time big mountain telemark coach for Aspen Valley Ski Club and Colorado Rocky Mountain School. In the summer I work construction, building homes.
  • What other sports do you do: When I am not skiing I spend my time running trails and exploring mountains with my girlfriend Bridget and my dog Alfalfa.
