Here is a manual to help skiers curious about new sensations and their first attempts, but also to allow "already practising" to refine their movements or to better understand the relevant sobriety of this practice.
We hope that telemark offers you the best of its originality and invites you to elegance...
Telemark is the father of ski turns and therefore of the forms of skiing that we know today.
Genuflexed position, heels off the boards, loose and relaxed gesture, telemark draws a freedom with a retro flavour; it is nevertheless very modern by its effectiveness.
No need to be a thigh athlete or crazy to try this unique and generous technique in sensations. All you need is a little balance; and to dare; a subtle pleasure is at the end of the first turns...
Lionel Condemine is a mountain guide and Nordic ski instructor. After a personal approach to telemark, he trained in Norway, then with many passionate companions. He taught this practice in the Hautes-Alpes for 25 years, carried out numerous raids everywhere and also elsewhere... Telemark remains the best companion of its winters.
