Pierre is the creator of Meidjo. The binding has been entirely designed in its "garage". All the prototypes were made by Collet Amblard in Grenoble, whose manager is a friend of Pierre's.

The calculations were done by Adrien who is now doing telemark now. Meidjo is indeed a 100% French design.

Now Pierre is accompanied by Lucas, a mechanical engineer, to design new products that meet all the expectations of telemarkers.

All the parts of our products are manufactured according to our plans by our various subcontractors.

Located in France, our subcontractors are mainly located in the south-east of France, a few hours from our workshop.

The low-tech components are manufactured in Haute-Savoie by a specialist in touring bindings. The springs and wire parts are manufactured in the Saint-Etienne region. The injected polyamide elements are manufactured on the Avignon side, and the small mechanical elements are machined in the Arve valley a few kilometres from Mont-Blanc.

And to be totally transparent, only some of our products come from abroad, such as inserts, spring lever, some screws and our jig.  The M Equipment products are 99% Made in France products and we are very proud of it!

Once all the parts produced by our French suppliers have been produced, all the parts arrive in bulk at our premises. Then you have to put it all together!

We start assembly in July, but some parts are manufactured in April.

The most sensitive elements such as low-tech are assembled in our workshop.

The assembly of the heels or the installation of the brass inserts are carried out directly by our plasturgist.

THE M Equipment's social willingness is one of the company's objectives. For example, for some tasks, we have a partnership with ESAT les Glycines in Aubagne, located 15 minutes from our workshop. The objective of ESAT les Glycines is to enable disabled people to integrate them socially and professionally. Thus, it is disabled adults who bag screws, instructions, crampon interface, ski-brakes. And they are proud to work for your bindings.

Then after a quality control of the elements, Laura does everything possible to box your bindings to send them as quickly as possible to all our stores and everyone gets to work.

There you go, you can finally telemark!

And to remain within the framework of sustainable development, which is one of our main values, we do our best to ensure that it is applied throughout the entire sales chain.

Since 2019, we have chosen to host our website on a green host. The "Infomaniak" hosting company is a Swiss hosting company, which uses only renewable energy and offsets its carbon footprint by 200%.

For more information: https://www.infomaniak.com/en/green-hosting

In addition, the person in charge of managing the website is a person with the status of a disabled worker who is self-employed. We work with him remotely so that he can telework at a pace that suits him.

Any sale of products requires consuming packaging, printing for marketing but also for labelling, leaflets etc.

To best limit our ecological footprint, we:

  • use recycled, biosourced or recyclable cardboard
  • we prefer recycled, biosourced or recyclable paper
  • we prefer water-based inks
  • use French and, preferably, local printers
  • limit excess packaging.

Our objective for next year is to move closer to 100% recycled, biosourced and recyclable packaging and further reduce their consumption!
